The Demonstration of His Love
Micah 4:11-5:7 – Bethlehem chosen
God loves us and cares for us. God has chosen to love us. Not that we are deserving of His favor. We are sinners, but He has chosen us as His people. From of old He set forth His plan to save His people.
That plan was not that we would save ourselves – for we cannot. Our own strength is unable to save us. His plan was that He would save us. He chose things that were small in the world’s eyes – like Bethlehem – to show forth His power. That we would know that our salvation was from God alone.
God demonstrates His love in that He sent His only son to save us. He sent him to Bethlehem at the beginning.
